Shouldn't they be the first ones to follow the letter of the law?
Anyway, wonder how they lost the plate in the first place?

This is the third sighting this month. This guy was seen heading south on SLEX approaching the Alabang viaduct. His license plate was extremely faded but using Photoshop, we were able to make the plate number pop out. Looks like PH-6998.
Lemme see. First, no helmet. Second, the backrider is not from the PNP. Third, the plate number is faded. Three strikes and you're out!

Anyway, there was an old post here regarding a press release of then PNP Chief Avelino Razon regarding the PNP's motorcycle use policy, but the link in that post doesn't seem to work anymore. However, we've managed to capture a screen shot from the Daily Tribune of the same press release so we're posting it here.
Sure hope that the current PNP chief Jesus Verzosa takes action on these guys. They need to shape up if they want our respect.

Ha! Huli ka!

Check out this bike cop on a Sunday ride with what I assume is his son. It's good that he values his son's life, but he's in violation of at least two rules that I know of.
Anyway, the bike's plate number is SL3680 and the side marking is 33. Hope this guy get's reprimanded 'cos we're all sick and tired of seeing cops breaking the rules instead of enforcing them.

Quezon City Police District Director and Senior Superintendent Magtanngol Gatdula has issued a directive to all QC bike cops to wear their helmets when on board their bikes or lose two months pay and risk suspension. The directive even included penalties for the immediate superior of the erring cop on the basis of command responsibility.

This new directive was in response to the latest memorandum on the helmet regulation issued by Director Jefferson Soriano of the National Capital Regional Police Office to all five district directors. According to Soriano, previous directives were ignored.

Ignored?! Grabe naman talaga 'tong mga 'to. Kaya walang sumusunod sa mga batas dito sa 'pinas. Anyway, start sending in those snapshots of cops without helmets so we can help "educate" them.

Police car involved in accident
A jeepney crashed into the side of a police car at the corner of Aurora and Balete around 11:30am today. According to the jeepney driver, the police car allegedly beat the red light. Also, he claims that the blinker and siren were only turned on after the accident. Anyway, the traffic investigator said that the jeepney driver may be charged with "reckless imprudence resulting in multiple injuries and damage to government property."

I actually believe the jeepney driver's story. I've seen too many police vehicles, both cars and motorcycles, ignoring stoplights, no left turns, no u-turns, one ways, etc., for no particular reason aside from their own convenience.

Impounded taxis found to have tampered engine numbers
The LTO has reported that 14 out of 85 taxis currently impounded were found to have tampered engine and chassis numbers, leading them to believe that these were stolen.

For details on the plate, engine and chassis numbers of these taxis, check out the article. You never know, you might find your long, lost, stolen vehicle.

MMDA and Pasay fight over DFA parking
Pasay mayor Peewee Trinidad criticized the MMDA after 8 MMDA enforcers issued tickets to 42 vehicles belonging to officials, employees and visitors of the DFA parked on the service road of Roxas Blvd. According to the mayor, that area has long been used as a parking area by the DFA, and is supposedly covered by a city ordinance that provides free parking to DFA officials, employees and visitors. The Pasay Traffic and Parking Management Office wanted to file a case against the 8 enforcers but backed off after the enforcers took back the tickets they issued. MMDA chariman Bayani Fernando responded that if their enforcers were arrested, they would file their own charges.

In the first place, the DFA should develop their own parking area. Roxas Blvd. is one of the metro's major thoroughfares and experiences heavy traffic all the time. Isn't the public interest more important than the convenience of these officials?

Well, big white bikes mean PNP, right? Anyway, this guy was seen making a u-turn at the Ortigas Ave.-Lanuza intersection.
Obviously, there is a no u-turn sign there, which is why I am posting this. Tapos, wala pang helmet.

Too bad you can't make out the plate number.

Task force nabs 386 illegal PUVs, 24 extortionists
Great! Nabawasan na ng sasakyan, pati buwaya na din!

NLEX ready for the holidays
25% more cars! Good thing I'm just staying in Metro Manila. In fact, traffic was already light this afternoon. Sana palaging ganito na lang.

MMDA to put "giggle strips" on EDSA
Is that what they're called? I've always referred to them as lagalags, 'cos that's the sound you hear when you go over them.

Lagalagalagalagalag.

According to this article on the Inquirer today, a patient died because the ambulance got stuck in traffic on EDSA. Apparently, the ambulance overheated 'cos of the traffic it went through.

Traffic may be bad, pero medyo-OA 'ata.

The really tragic thing about this was that the ambulance broke down right across the QCPD Kamuning Station 10, but the police couldn't help them because THEY DID NOT HAVE THE KEYS TO THE POLICE CAR! Watta stupid!

Took this while riding on a jeep on Pasong Tamo heading towards EDSA this morning.

Check out this bike cop. He ran the red light at EDSA-Santolan at around 2:54pm.

Tingin muna.

And off he goes!

And check out his plate number. Iba talaga!

Wednesday, May 17, 2006

Caught this Skyway Patrol bike cop overtaking on the shoulder on SLEX approaching the C5 off-ramp at around 7:54pm.
Hay naku!

Saturday, May 06, 2006

These guys were running around 25kph on the middle lane of SLEX.
I know we should respect the dearly departed, but inconveniencing others is going too far.

Also, those stupid police escorts started sounding their sirens when traffic started to pile up right after the C5 bridge. Ano akala nila? Tatabi dapat lahat ng tao para sa kanila?

Anyway, here's a picture one of those funeral rent-a-cops with his unregistered motorcycle.

Saw these PNP guys counter-flowing on SLEX towards Quirino at around 2:56pm today. Must have been a major operation as there was a large truck full of cops and a number of scooters.
Hehehe. Scooters. Ang cheap naman nila!

Hoy! Mag-helmet naman kayo!
Anyway, these guys were seen on Banawe at around 2:56pm.

This time, it's the PNP copying the MMDA. This one was seen on N. Domingo at around 1:46pm today.
But, at least the MMDA vehicles had real plates in the front. This guy had both front and rear plates home-made.

How will regular joes follow the rules when those who are tasked to enforce them don't follow them at all?

Just take a look at this cop riding his bike on the sidewalk.
Hope they clean the police force of these kinds of people. And the MMDA, army, fire department and the rest of the government as well.

Saturday, March 11, 2006

Saw this Nissan Patrol with two motorcycle-riding cops as escorts sporting blinkers on Shaw, heading towards EDSA. Nag-counter flow pa!
I wonder who this guy is, thinking that he is high and mighty enough to ignore the law? Hindi kaya s'ya nahihiya sa ginagawa n'yang 'to?

Monday, March 06, 2006

Saw this Toyota Corolla on Santolan, heading towards EDSA, at around 5:44pm this afternoon. Walang plaka sa harap.
And if you look at this enlargement of the first pic, the driver is a cop, complete with uniform!
Please naman! Clean your ranks of these people! Kung hindi, wala talagang mangyayari sa atin dito sa 'pinas!

Thursday, February 23, 2006

Just look at these guys, seen traveling southbound down EDSA around 10:40 this morning, with their lights and sirens blaring! Ang kakapal!
If you look at the first pic, you'll see that the van actually has a license plate in front. But for some reason, they removed the one on the rear. Too bad the pic taken of their front isn't too clear.

Monday, February 20, 2006

Seen heading southbound on SLEX at around 1:31pm this afternoon. Uso na 'ata talaga ito sa mga pulis, a.
