The MMDA has announced that the construction of an elevated u-turn at the C5-Kalayaan intersection will begin next month and is targeted to be completed by June of this year. According to BF, this option was taken as it is cheaper than constructing an underpass.

I think this will take place of the current ground level u-turn slot that vehicles (mostly jeepneys) heading towards EDSA use to cross C5, but I'm not sure. Just wondering why they didn't opt for a flyover on C5 crossing Kalayaan instead. I would've thought that that would have been a better option, traffic-wise, 'cos then you get rid of the need for any u-turn slot.

Until now, nothing has been done to move these concrete road barriers that are currently eating into the northbound third lane on C5. These are the ones located underneath the bridge leading towards Market Market!
This was first posted here last February 20, which is 51 days ago. Sino ba talaga ang dapat mag-asikaso nito?

I cannot believe that nothing has been done about this yet.
This was first posted 27 days ago in this entry, but this was actually first sighted around 2 weeks before that. What will it take to get this done?!?

Until now, there has been little effort in ensuring a smooth flow of traffic in this major intersection. Traffic enforcers, whether from the MMDA or the local government has been notoriously absent in this major traffic area at least 90% of the time.

Anyway, the vehicles on the following pics use the u-turn slot to circumvent the stoplight. And since Ortigas is typically traffic, they end up blocking those vehicles wanting to cross the intersection heading towards Libis.Kelan kaya maaayos 'tong lugar na 'to?

This grill, which is located between the C5-Kalayaan intersection and the bridge over Pasig River, has forever been busted. And for a couple of weeks (or more) now, a plastic road barrier has been placed right before it to let motorists know of the possible danger of falling into the hole.
As much as we appreciate the effort to ensure motorists' safety, we'd rather see them repair the grill.

Seems like nothing has been done regarding these things. This was first posted 10 days ago.
Hope that they do something about this soon.

Not really sure whose responsibility it is to fix these, but these cement road blocks (is that the right term?) should really be set aside as it eats up around a quarter of the outer lane on C5.
Not only does this force vehicles on this lane to merge with the middle lane, slowing down the traffic, it is also quite dangerous as I don't think this area is well lit at night.

As a follow-up to a previous post, here's a better pic of the cars blocking the intersection on the C5-Ortigas intersection.
Hope the MMDA enforcers here wise up and start doing what they're supposed to.

The traffic enforcers at this intersection are one of the laziest and stupidest I have ever seen.

Coming from C5, I typically cross this intersection so that I can get to the u-turn slot to get to Ortigas heading towards EDSA. And whenever the light turns green, the intersection is always blocked by vehicles on Ortigas heading towards Cainta.
I know and understand that Ortigas heading that way is almost always traffic, and I have no problems about that (primarily because I don't pass there). What I don't understand is why can't the traffic enforcers do something about the vehicles blocking the intersection? Why can't they just stop these vehicles from crossing when they see that they will end up stopping in the middle? Kelangan pa'ng bumisina lahat ng kotse na naaabala nito'ng mga 'to ng todo-todo bago sila gumalaw!

The vehicles heading towards Cainta on Ortigas seems to have found an alternative way to cross the C5 intersection. Whenever the light turns red, they turn right on C5, pass the u-turn slot under the bridge, and cut immediately to the right so they can turn right again on Ortigas.
Kaso, they end up blocking those on C5 crossing towards Libis.

They should really find a way to prevent these vehicles, who by the way, are mostly jeepneys, from doing this. Masama na nga ang trapik, pinasasama pa nila!

Just look at this family crossing the C5 road.
Doesn't this guy love his wife and kids? Or is he trying to get rid of them? Or maybe nangaasar lang s'ya ng mga motorista?
