Had a meeting this afternoon at Starbucks in Leviste, and I witnessed a car getting towed. Man, ang bilis! I think the whole thing lasted under 3 minutes, from the time they arrived to the time they pulled out with the car.
Anyway, aren't there rules that these guys are supposed to "attempt" to look for the driver of the vehicle for a certain number of minutes before they tow the vehicle. If somebody has a link to the rules governing this, please send it to us so we can post it here.

They tow EVEN when the driver is present, didn't you know? I guess some drivers are too stubborn to move their cars especially when waiting for their "amo". I guess God gave them legs for some other purpose since they refuse to walk to their car even a bit.

Plus, towing has been a long-running, money-making scam for these tow-truck companies that are usually owned by govt employees or kamag-anaks.

You gotta love 'em!

And to think this happens in the "most progressive" city in the country. God help us all!

These guys should be probed. I was towed somewhere near Salcedo like a year ago. It was only 430 but the watch on the police officer with the tow truck was already 5 pm. I argued with them to no avail. The police officer just told me to argue with whoever was at the pound. Great.

I suggested that I drive the vehicle to the impounding area instead of having it towed, lest they damage it on the way. They wouldn't allow it unless one of their guys would drive it. Fine. One of them did the driving, very slowly, carefully trying to extort me saying that the amount I had to pay was equivalent to the weight of the vehicle. I was driving a pick up, easily 2000kg, which he said meant I would have to pay at least that amount. I resisted.

At the impounding area, I was charged 1000 bucks and given a photocopied receipt. Actually, it didn't even look like a receipt but just a piece of paper with some lines on it for the name and amount. I hope they all burn in hell.

Towing in Makati is a scam. Govt has authorized illiterates to tow cars. It is a big scam in Makati led by the mayor himself. I parked in a parking area and in 5 mins. they towed it. P1000. Fuck this shit heads Marial Towing Service in Yakal Street. The Leader of the gang is Raymund Lahora. I am in process of complaining to the Mayor.

They wanted to tow me earlier... and that is fine with me. It was a violation on my part (although ala pa kong 2mins nakakalayo sa kotse kse magwiwithdraw ako sa metrobank) but my point is, "BAKIT AKO LAN?!!!! LINTIK NA YAN! SANDAMAKMAK YUNG NAKAPARK, AKO LAN? AT AKO NA KAKAPARK LAN"... Nakakaloka! Kinuha lisensya ko at binigyan ako ticket... the irony is, inurong ko pa un kotse ko sa parking lane after ko tumigil sa tpat ng bangkpo para ndi kako mahuli kse sandali lan naman ako; and I forgot to turn my signal lights back on.

About two years back,I parked at valero street at around 8:30am,although 2 parking enforcer are normally available none was visible , definitely hiding.they towed my innova-v (without using dolly) park in valero street parking,. I went back to my car at around 9:40am still no parking enforcer visible but the time mentioned in the apprehension ticket is 9:05am.Also how can I have parking ticket when no MAPA personel around and looking for someone who is hiding is very difficult. I was not aware that so called counter flow parking is a violation in the Philippines and there were no prohibition signs as per UNITED NATIONS CONVENTION ON ROAD TRAFFIC. I filed petition at Makati Regional Trial Court to challenge the CONSTITUTIONALITY of towing and impounding of vehicles.

My car got towed... well not exactly kase inaangklahan pa lang yung kotse. Pinagbayad na lang ako ng 1k. Ganun ba talaga? The receipt looks fishy dahil may nakasulat na "Willing to Pay". official ba yung receipt na yan or gawa gawa lang?

Here's the photo of the receipt
